If you have been diagnosed with high blood pressure you need to take the diagnosis very seriously and follow all of your doctor’s instructions. Your doctor will help you make changes to your life, which may or may not include medication, that will help you control your blood pressure and avoid the long term effects of high blood pressure. Many people don’t realize it when they are diagnosed, but high blood pressure can be fatal. There are some common symptoms and if they occur in conjunction or often you may want to visit your doctor to make sure that you are not suffering from high blood pressure. Some of the common high blood pressure symptoms that you can watch out for to help to avoid the effects of the condition include:

  • Blurred vision
  • Nausea

Of course, just because you have these symptoms doesn’t mean you have high blood pressure. But, if you do experience these symptoms you need to get checked out. When you stop the high blood pressure here you may not have to suffer the devastating long term effects. High blood pressure can be controlled with some lifestyle changes to your diet and exercise, and if needed you may need to go on medications to help keep your blood pressure in check.
